Lead capture for food and hospitality sales teams

Food, beverage and hospitality supplies are sold on daily rounds of outlets, in hotel and restaurant meetings and at the big food shows. SEL XP records who was met and what they want to try, sends the catalogue by WhatsApp and sets the next step.

The problem

What goes wrong between the meeting and the sale

  1. 01

Thirty outlets a day, nothing written down

A rep on a round talks to thirty buyers. Who asked to try the new line is remembered for the first five.

  2. 02

Fifty samples to send, to whom?

Everyone was promised a sample. Which product, which address and who is sending it was agreed out loud and written nowhere.

  3. 03

    Buyers answer WhatsApp, not email

An importer on the show floor will read a message tonight. An email with a heavy price list attached may never arrive.

  4. 04

The same buyer hears two answers

An importer speaks to two of your people on different days and is quoted two sets of terms. Neither knew about the other.

How SEL XP fits

Built for the way food and hospitality teams sell

  • Capture at the pace of the stand

A quick lead takes a name and a note. A bowl of cards is batch scanned in a minute and reviewed when the stand is quiet.

  • Price list by WhatsApp

One tap opens WhatsApp with your message and a link to the buyer's page of catalogues and price lists.

  • A task for every sample

Which product, for whom and by when. The team's open and overdue tasks are one list for the manager.

  • The same importer, met twice

The app warns when a colleague has already met this person, and shows their note before you quote terms.

  • Sorted by what they want

Product interest, buying role and timing sort the buyers, and the score shows who is ready for a trial order.

  • What the show produced

Leads against target, what visitors asked about most, and how fast each got a first message.

A basement kitchen, a full hall, and no signal

Where your reps work, the network often gives out. Leads, voice notes and tasks wait on the phone, encrypted, and send themselves later.

What your team does, and when

  1. Before

Load price lists and product sheets as catalogues by range. Write the WhatsApp message in English and Arabic.

  2. On the stand

Quick leads at the counter, batch scan the bowl of cards each hour, and a task for every sample promised.

  3. Each evening

Check for buyers met twice, and hand each market's leads to its export manager.

  4. The week after

Samples go out against the task list. Reminders chase any buyer who has not had a first message.

Questions

Food and hospitality: what teams ask

Does it suit daily rounds of outlets?

Yes. A rep adds an outlet's buyer as a quick lead, with Daily sales visit as how they met, taps what they asked to try and sends the catalogue by WhatsApp. It records the conversation and the next step. It does not take orders or hold stock.

How do food exporters keep track of samples promised at an exhibition?

Make each promise a task at the moment it is made. In SEL XP the rep adds a task to the lead saying which product to send and by when. It shows on their own list, the manager sees what is overdue, and it goes to the CRM as a to-do.

Can we send price lists to buyers on WhatsApp?

Yes. The app opens WhatsApp with your approved message and a link to a page made for that buyer, listing the price lists and product sheets that match what they asked about. Nothing heavy is attached.

Is it quick enough for a busy tasting counter?

Yes. A quick lead needs only a name and a note, and a stack of business cards can be photographed in one go with batch scan. The details are filled in afterwards, when the stand is quiet.
